Our senior team is led by David McCarthy ( FRICS, FSCSI, LLM). David has 25 years of experience in the construction industry in the areas of commercial management, construction contracts consultancy, claims management and dispute resolution, primarily in the civil engineering sector. He was elected a (professional) member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1997 and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in 2004. David is also an assessor with the RICS / SCS. David worked with Balfour Beatty International, for 21 years, primarily in the Middle East and Far East. During this time, he gained experience on a broad range of large-scale civil engineering projects and was made a director of Balfour Beatty Malaysia in 1997. David returned home in 2000 and continued to work as a consultant to Balfour Beatty until 2007. He has experience of all forms of construction contracts, such as FIDIC, ICE, RIAI both blue and yellow forms and more recently has been working with the new government contracts.
